Hi I'm Parker

I grew up in Utah my whole life. I am a Mormon and I have been called to serve a mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

About Me

I am a Son of God. I am a student at Dixie State University in St George Utah. I enjoy playing sports, being outside, and spending time with family and friends. I am the youngest of four boys. I collect coins from all over the world. I am currently serving a mission in Tucson, Arizona waiting to go to Buenos Aires Argentina.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a member of the Church and have been a member my whole life. In my younger years I didn't really know what I thought was to be true. I did the things that my parents asked like going to church, youth activities, and boy scouts. I really gained a knowledge that the Church is true when I went on a Pioneer Trek with the youth. It was such a great experience to find out first hand what the pioneers went through so they could live in the gospel in peace. They went through so much persecution for what they believed in. I know that the true church has been restored to the earth today through Joseph Smith. I know that Christ lives and loves every single one of us and that he died for us and suffered for our sins so we can return to our Heavenly Father once again.

How I live my faith

I attend Singles ward activities every Monday such as dinners, volleyball, game nights and much more. I attend church every Sunday. I am the secretary for our young single adults. I have made so many great friends by attending Church activites. I am sharing what I know and trying to live like Jesus Christ everyday.

What is the Book of Mormon?

Parker
The Book of Mormon is sacred scripture like the Bible. It is the communication between God and the ancient people in the Americas. It was written by prophets just like the Bible and they testify of the coming of Christ. The Book of Mormon records the apearance of Christ to the people of the Americas after His death and resurrection. After a period of time, the people rejected the teachings that Christ taught and eventually they killed the prophets. The last prophet was named Moroni who was the son of the prophet Mormon who compiled these writings. Moroni was commanded by God to bury the plates (or writings) so that their descendents could have these teachings later on. After the visitation of God and Jesus Christ to Jospeh Smith, Joseph was instructed to retrieve the plates. Through the power of God, Jospeh Smith translated the plates into what we now have today, The Book of Mormon. I invite anyone who reads this to read the Book of Mormon, ponder about its teachings, and to ask God the Eternal Father if these things are true. I promise that if you read, ponder, and ask with a sincere heart, you will know for yourself that these things are true. I have done it several times and I know that these things are from God and contain His everlasting Gospel. Show more Show less
