Hi I'm Ashley

Grew up in West Valley UT. Im adventurous, love to serve, love my family, friends and especially the Gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with other people doing anything fun! Although im shy at first I do have my crazy side. I enjoy playing volleyball and basketball for fun (in no way am I great at it). I love the outdoors and just being outside. I like to camp and hike, being in the mountains relaxes me. I love animals and I love kids. I hope to get married in the temple and become a mom someday. I graduated highschool and soon after the drop in missionary age I decided I wanted to go on an LDS mission and I am very excited aboout it! I plan on attending college when I get back. Now im preparing to serve and awaiting what will come next!

Why I am a Mormon

I know for myself that this gospel is true. I believe that The prophet joseph smith translated the Book of Mormon, which is the keystone of our religion, and through him our Heveanly Father restored the gospel on the earth. After reading and praying for a confirmation for myself I belive the Book of Mormon to be the truth. We have a living prophet on the earth today who is here to help counsel and guide us. This Gospel and its principles bring me happiness and as I continue following it I know that I will continue to find joy and happiness and someday return to our Father in heaven. We all make mistakes, but bacause of Christs atonement we can repent and move forward. I am grateful for the trials and hardships I have been through because I have learned alot from them and have become a stronger person. It is because of the knowledge and testimony I have that I have been able to keep going strong, and it continues to grow. I know my purpose and thats why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

This gospel is such a big part of my life. It's not just something I study and learn about, but something I do and live by. As a young women starting at the age of 12 I was part of a presidency in our young womens group in my ward, moving in different positions until I was 18. In that time I was able to grow close to my leaders and the other girls around me as we helped eachother through hard times shared spiritual experiences and taught eachother lessons that come from the gospel. I thought about what I could do to strengthen them and myself during this time and it has change my life and helped me gain a stronger testimony of this church, which I will always be grateful for. I try to serve others whenever I see they are in need. Living by my faith to me means following "in Christs footsteps" he is the example, the person we should strive to be like. Becoming like our Savior Jesus Christ is my goal. No one is perfect and it's not always easy, but doing my best will lead me down the right path.
