Hi I'm Clare

I am retired, married to a wonderful woman, father of 6 children, and grandfather to 12 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am retired after 37 years with the federal government. My career mostly dealt with management of mineral development on public lands. I am married to the same wonderful lady for over 35 years. We have six children and twelve grandchildren. I love the wide open spaces found in Wyoming and enjoy being with family on outings, fishing, hunting, and sightseeing. Gardening and home improvements also occupy my time.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born to parents who were members of the Church, I gained a deeper understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ by personally trying to follow His example. As a young man and serving a full-time mission for the Church in France my love for others increased. It was wonderful to see the change in the life of others as they chose to believe in and follow Jesus Christ. Over the years I have grown to love the teachings from prophets as found and written in the Bible, the Book of Mormon., other scripture. I have witnessed many times a special feeling that testifies there is a loving God who cares about each of us. I firmly believe there is purpose in live and it centers around Jesus Christ's teachings and His atonement for all mankind. I am happy to be a member of His church.

How I live my faith

In addition to numerous service opportunities in my church, I have been actively involved locally with the Boy Scouts of America. For several years my wife and I have enjoyed spending our summers working at a Boy Scout Camp in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming. We have also enjoyed participating with our local community choir. My wife and I are now serving a church mission in southern France supporting the church members, teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, and helping other missionaries serving in the area.
