Hi I'm Robert

I'm a dutch-speaking, spanish reading, american farmer, and i'm a mormon.

About Me

I was raised in the church, and wouldnt want it any other way. i recieved my Mission call to Belgium/Netherlands where i speak dutch. i plan on going to college when i return and studying engineering. i am a big fan of sports, i play guitar, and i work on a farm and in an auto shop. I Love my family, like to be outside, and love life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me peace and makes me happy. i know that this is the only way i would ever want to be. after living the gospel standards of the church for so long, and praying for answers after studying the scriptures i know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ's true church. i know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and is another testament of Jesus Christ. and i know that families can be together forever. i know that nothing will ever shake my testimony. Living the gospel of jesus christ is the only way we can find true happiness and peace.

How I live my faith

i am serving as a full time missionary for the church in the Netherlands, i try to improve every day in becoming a little more like our savior, and i help people find the same happiness that i have in living the gospel.

Who wrote the Book of Mormon?

Robert
Super good question, the book of mormon was actually written by many prophets over an historical period of about 1000 years in the ancient americas. similar to how the bible is a record of history in the middle-east and surrounding areas, the book of mormon is a history of people on the other side of the world in the american continents. beginning in jerusalem, a man takes his family through the wilderness led by god and eventually made their way to the americas, where the rest of the record takes place. through generations of people, prohpets like nephi, alma, helaman, mormon, and moroni wrote and preserved their records concerning the history of the people and the gospel of jesus christ among believers. much of the book is testimony of the prophets concerning jesus christ as our savior and expounding upon his gospel as it was revealed to them. finally the records were compiled by mormon, thereby recieving the name The Book of Mormon, and passed on to his son moroni, who sealed them up in the earth. these were later to be given to the prophet joseph smith, who, by the power of god, translated the records from the ancient language into english.
