Hi I'm Buzz

I am 72 years old and have been married for 47 years. We have 8 children and 24 grandchildren. I love being a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised on a small dairy farm in Northern Utah where I learned hard work and responsibility at an early age. I love all sports, especially basketball and soccer. I participated in these sports as a youth and have enjoyed coaching my children and grandchildren. Being close as a family is very important to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon not only because I was born into the Church, but because I took the time and gave the effort to read the scriptures, study the doctrine and then ask my Heavenly Father in prayer about the truthfulness of this restored Gospel. By the power of the Holy Ghost it was confirmed to my mind and to my heart and soul that God did indeed restore His Church to the earth again. I know that Joseph Smith was called to be a prophet by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. By the power of God he translated the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ. I know that we have a living prophet on earth today and that God continues to reveal His will to us .

How I live my faith

By profession I am an accountant. However, throughout my life I have loved serving in the Church and the community by being a coach. The skills were important. but being a friend along with helping and caring about them as individuals was the bigger picture. I tried to show by example the importance of good sportsmanship. I wanted to show them that winning isn't everything, but it's how you play the game. Life is the same, we need to care about and cooperate with each other to be real winners.
