Hi I'm Shae

I was born in Utah. I am a wife. I am a returned missionary and I love to travel all over the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

A little about me, I was born into the Church and have always been active. I served my mission in Rostov-na-Donu, Russia. I loved my mission and there is not a day that goes by where I do not think about the wonderful people in Russia that changed my life, or my Savior who through the Atonement had mercy on me to be His hands in Russia. I love sharing the gospel and the blessings it brings to me in my life. After returning home from my mission I met my husband Colten at Institute. We got married 11 months later in the Salt Lake City Temple. I am studying Exercise and Sports Science at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. I love to travel all over the world, I went to Germany as a foreign exchange student and I also went to Kenya, Africa for a Humanitarian project. I love my family more than words can describe and I am grateful for the knowledge that I can live with them for eternity.

Why I am a Mormon

This gospel means everything to me, even though I was raised in the Church I know without a shadow of a doubt that this is the true church. Growing up on the eastern states made me realize how lucky I was to come back to Utah and live around all these members. While living in Indiana I was the only member in my school growing up, so from as young as I can remember all my friends would ask me questions about the gospel. From such a young age I knew I had to gain a testimony of my own in order to tell these people about the Lords church. Now that I am older, I appreciate all of the opportunities I had to step up and be a missionary. I gained my own testimony of this gospel when I went to EFY (Especially For Youth, its a church summer camp) one summer. My testimony continued to grow as I served my mission in Russia. My faith was tried and tested as I faced daily battles. This gospel is true and I know it, I live it, and I love it. :)

How I live my faith

I live my faith by finding ways to serve others in my ward, neighborhood and callings.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Shae
I believe that the family is that central unit in our lives. Family is so important because they help, guide and love us throughout our journey of life back to our Heavenly Father. Without our families we wouldn't have the personalities, the beliefs, and lifestyles we have throughout our lives. Families are extremely important in the Lords eyes, because of his Plan of Salvation we are able to live with our families in Heaven after we die. The Lord designed the family to have loving parents who raise children to follow in their footsteps and follow the Plan. In the years of our youth we grow and experience life and without guidance from our parents we wouldn't get back to our Heavenly parents. The family is the most important thing in my life besides the gospel. Without my family and their love and support, I wouldn't be the same person I am today. The family is the most essential part of His plan. Show more Show less
