Hi I'm Landon Hirschi

Raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Currently serving a mission in Canada. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Some of my greatest memories and happiest times were with my family. Of my siblings, I am the only boy, with 4 sisters. And to be honest, I love it! I love family gatherings, and doing things with my family. I love to play sports, basketball, football, tennis, golf, soccer, pretty much anything! I love the feeling of being active. In general, I enjoy watching movies, listening to music, and playing video games, like most guys my age! I also enjoy learning about the human body. Anatomy and physiology was my favorite subject in high school, and I look forward to medical school in the next few years.

Why I am a Mormon

Well to start things off, my parents are both members of the church, and so I was raised as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up going to church. I grew up praying. I grew up reading the Book of Mormon, as well as the Bible. I grew up believing that everything I was taught, and everything I learned, was true. I never really questioned any of it, just trusted. Well I got to a point in my life where I was preparing to serve a 2 year mission for the Lord. That was the point in my life where I needed to know, for myself, that everything I had learned in my youth was true. I'm grateful for the testimony my parents had provided me, but it was time that I found out from God, if it was true or not. I really wanted to know. It was one day when I was home alone. I knelt down, and verbally poured my heart out to God. So many questions and feelings, so much confusion. All feelings of uncertainty and doubt were swept away, and a very warm feeling of amazing peace and happiness flooded my heart. This was one of the best experiences I have ever had! I am so grateful for that experience, and for our Heavenly Father answering my prayers. Because of this experience, I know that God is our loving Father in Heaven, and that he is very aware of each of our unique situations. I know that Jesus Christ died for us, and lives again today. I know that this is the true church on the earth today! And that following Jesus Christ is the only way we can have true and everlasting peace and joy in our lives. Because I know these things are true, I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have been raised in the church my whole life. I have been preparing for 19 years to serve a 2 year mission. I am so grateful to now be serving that mission, and helping others come unto Christ.
