Hi I'm Katelyn Sorenson

Painting is my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving in the Baltic Mission speaking Lithuanian. Serving a mission has been something I have always thought about doing my whole life but a year ago I could not have told you that is where I would be today. My prayer to serve was answered when President Monson announced the age change in October Conference 2012 and by January I had my mission call. I am so humbled with my call to serve and hope to do all that I can for the Lithuanian people. Before my mission I attended BYU and plan to return after I finish my mission. I am majoring in the Art Education program because of my drive to paint, and I hope to eventually teach watercolor classes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because Christ's gospel brings true joy. This gospel enables us to live forever not only with our family but also God the Father and His son if we live righteously. I know that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and that Christ lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing all that I can to be a representative of Jesus Christ. One of my more recent callings was my call to be a missionary laboring in the Baltic Mission including the countries of Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Belarus speaking the Lithuanian language. I am so humbled yet excited with this calling, and have never felt better about a decision in my life, than my decision to serve the Lord and people of the Baltic full time.
