Hi I'm Mary Beth

I grew up on a farm in the Midwest. I am 7 out of 9 kids. I am currently studying horticulture and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live on a farm when I'm not at college. College is amazing but it is hard to do some of the things I love while studying. I love to work outside in the garden and help process the food. I also love doing all sorts of projects One break I learned how to spin wool. Another time I made a "Farmville" (which is what we call our farm) version of the board game Empire Builder. However, being a college has it's cons. I can play more basketball, which I love! I love sports! Basketball and floor hockey are my favorites. There is also more opportunities to watch plays, and going to concerts - for cheaper. I also get to learn all sorts of cool things! One of my favorites was culinary. Cooking four of more hours in a class, how could that not be fun! Even the core classes I enjoy (most of the time). When I have had time I have also done a lot of traveling. Being 7 out of 9, I have lots of nieces and nephews and go and help my sibling out when I can. Doing that I've been able to travel all over the US. I have with my dad done a lot of traveling as well. I went to Ireland with a few of my sibling and my dad. My dad and brother and I went on a medical mission in Peru. When my dad had a medical meeting in Hawaii my sister and I got to tag along. I have been so blessed to see a lot and learn so much! And I can't wait to find out more!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to a Mormon family. But that is not why I am a Mormon. Everyone one need to learn for themselves about what is true. Through study and through prayer I could then and can now feel that Christ loves me. Through reading the words of the prophets, the old and the new, I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is God's church on the earth. And the Thomas S. Monson is God's prophet on the earth and that God the Father is my father and that Christ is my savior.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day, in the simply things. I help when someone needs a extra hand. I keep myself clean from things that would hurt my body and hurt my mind. All in all, I try my best - to be a good christian person. I have served in my "home" (when I'm not at school) ward by teaching the little kid classes. I also helped in the nursery a lot. Out at school I have taught a classes, and helped do family history work. The big thing that I am about to do to serve God is that I am going to leave soon to serve God for 18 months as a missionary, teaching and bring people to Jesus Christ.
