Hi I'm Becky.

I grew up in Oregon. I have been married for 22 years. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 5. I have not worked outside the home for a long time but am thinking about it now, with one child left at home. I enjoy family time the most. We homeschooled part of each child's education and had great times together as we all learned. Reading is a hobby I do daily. I enjoy pencil drawing and have done a few portraits for family and friends. I enjoy backyard gardening and chickens. I also preserve some of our summer harvest.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the questions I had growing up visiting various churches were finally answered by the missionaries, by reading, studying and pondering The Book of Mormon and by sincerely praying to learn for myself what is true. I learned of the Savior and loved him and prayed as I was taught at my Grandmothers church. I attended while we lived with her for a time during grade school. I read the New Testament at home. I visited friends churches during high school and was just looking for things to feel like the Saviors church and see service like the Savior gave during his life on earth. I saw a commercial on TV one day showing artwork of the Savior in America and offering a Book of Mormon free if I called a 1-800 number. I called and soon received the book. I began reading it in April and the missionaries found me in August. I had read a large portion of the Book of Mormon and a few books I found in the library and at a used book store, The teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, A Marvelous Work and a Wonder, The Miracle of Forgiveness and a Family Home Evening Manuel. I told the missionaries I wanted to be baptized.

How I live my faith

I grew up loving to hear my grandparent's and great grandparent's stories of family history. Today I volunteer to index various records to be used in researching family history for the Family Search website. I also help organize game nights, dinners and classes for women at church.
