Hi I'm Ashlee Stevens

I'm a daughter, an artist, and a missionary called to serve. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ashlee and I'm 20 years old. I'm studying at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. I'm the oldest of 3 with a younger sister and brother. My hobbies include spending time and creating memories with my family, long drives, reading, and biking. As of May 2013 I will be serving as a full time sister missionary on the beautiful east coast in Morristown, New Jersey speaking spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church my entire life. Although I have been taught the gospel from a very young age, I didn't gain my testimony until much later in life. I have developed my testimony through challenges and hardships I've had to overcome. My testimony has been strengthened through reading the Book of Mormon and allowing the spirit to testify to me of it's truthfulness. The beauty of this gospel is the foundation is lays for the family. With this gospel we believe families are eternal and I know this to be true. I have put my trust in the Lord and know that one day our Savior, the Only Begotten, will return again. I'm so grateful for my Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. Our Heavenly Father is always there for us whenever we need to call upon him for love, guidance, and comfort.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by regularly attending church every sunday and being actively engaged in church callings and activities. I know the life my Heavenly Father wishes me to live and I have set my standards accordingly so that I can be a good representation as a daughter of God. I don't drink, smoke, or partake of any substance that may be harmful. I'm not perfect, I make mistakes, but I love my Heavenly Father and want that to be shown in my everyday actions. The best way I live my faith is by surrounding myself with those who have similar standards. By having peers in my life who live the standards I do helps keep me on track to fulfilling the ultimate goal of being worthy to live with my Father in Heaven again.
