Hi I'm Andrew

I grew up in Minnesota. I love to climb mountains. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Nothing is more important to me than staying active. I love to go backpacking and camping especially with my pops. We have recently taken up kayaking and will probably go on a trip in the boundary waters canoe area in minnesota after my mission. Last year, after years of hard work, i received my Eagle Scout award. When i dont make it out into the great outdoors, I like to play the drums and jam with my pops who plays the guitar. Eventually I want to go to school for 3d art and design, and I love using the program BLENDER at home to practice. I am the oldest of 6 boys, so im always busy. Our family recently outfitted ourselves with an arsenal of NERF guns that could drop an elk at 100 yards ;) When I do need some down time, I usually play games on my PC like Portal. Usually though I watch TV programs about history because I love studying how wars are started and how they are fought. I also like reading, something that i think is undervalued by my generation, and cant get enough of philosophy. Even my favorite movies have an element of philosophy in them. I think it is important to ask questions about our existence, because so many of the questions people have struggled with for centuries can be resolved by reading the book of mormon and studying the doctrine. which reminds me of the activity i enjoy the most: reading and teaching about the book of mormon. thats why im going on a mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I honestly believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ would want us to continue to have a living prophet. I also believe that ours is the only church to have true priesthood power on the face of the planet today, and the work that is done in the beautiful temples is essential to our living with our Father in Heaven again. With that preisthood power comes the power of Christs atonement, an endless and infinite healing power, something I still dont fully understand but know i want everyone to be able to take advantage of. In the end, I am happiest when I get to bring that knowlege of the atonement to those who need it most.

How I live my faith

I was baptised at eight and recieived the priesthood at 12. since then, I have been a leader for my age group, and last year i started teaching 13 crazy eight year old boys. For the next two years, i will be serving as a missionary and official representative of Jesus Christ in the Ogden Utah mission.
