Hi I'm Lynn

I grew up in Illinois. I came to Utah to go to BYU. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Illinois. My two brthers and I were the only Mormons in our high school. It was really hard to stay true to your values. But I persevered and came out to BYU, where I met my eterrnal companion. We have 7 children and 15 grandchildren. Two of our children have struggled with the gospel in their lives, but our family continues to pray for them and know that one day they willl have the peace and happiness in their lives again. Both my husband and I worked but are now retired and planning on a mission for the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I cannot even think about where I would be without the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed continually throughout my life by its teachings and the spirit of the Holy Ghost. I know that Jesus' mission here on earth was to make it possible for us all to return to our Heavenly Father. He is our Elder Brother, the Messiah, the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords. He knows of our sincere repentence and honest efforts to live the gospel, and He has paid the price of our sins. I want to become like Him. I want to have the joy of the eternal peace that each of us can receive. I know that it is by this gospel, this restored priesthood to the earth that this can be accomplished. We don't need to be perfect, but just need to continue improving in bettering our lives. The pathway back to God is narrow and we need to continue making righteous choices and being obedient to His laws. I love this gospel, I love my brother and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that all will join the "great throng" and be part of this great movement of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Since college, I have always tried to do the best I can to show others what I stand for and live my faith. Right now I am teaching the 5-6 years old in my ward. It is an awesome calling and look forward every week to see their bright, shining faces. I have also been in callings for the older youth and the women of our ward. I also held a councilwoman position in our city for 8 years and always tried to hold true to the values of truth and righteousness. I have been visiting one lady in our ward for 9 years and truly love her. She does not attend church and when I first started visitiing her, she wouldn't let me in her home. I would just leave her little messages and a treat at her door for almost two years. Finally she let me in and we have be come very close friends. My husband and I go over to their house every Thursday night to play the card game Phase 10. I know it just wasn't my persevernce that got me into that house. The Lord softened her heart and made it possible for this wonderful experienced for both of us.
