Hi I'm McKenzie

I am from Idaho and am a college student at BYU-I. Right now I have the great opportunity of serving a mission in New Mexico!

About Me

I am the middle of five children. We love to play sports and hang out together. I am a college student studying exercise physiology and love my classes. I also work at a local restaurant. I love to run and I competed in mid-distance track events in high school. I also love to play soccer and compete competitively. I played violin in my high school orchestra and I play a little piano. In my free time I like to read and go shopping. We don't get to travel very often but I love when I can go on vacation with my family to visit extended family and watch my brother's gymnastics meets.

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church and I was blessed to grow up with it in my life. It has brought me joy and comfort throughout everything I have done to know that I am a child of God and that I am on this Earth for a purpose. I have a loving Heavenly Father who cares for me and I have seen that throughout my life. My testimony has been strengthed as I have gone to church, prayed, and read the Book of Mormon. I have no doubt that this is the true church. I am so grateful for the spirit that bore this truth to me. My testimony through it was strengthened. I know Jesus Christ is my savior. He atoned for the sins of the World and through him we can be saved. He is the perfect example. When we follow him and have faith we find joy and can overcome our trials and hardships. Joy really does come from living his commandments and serving one another. I know the scriptures are the word of God. We are so blessed to have modern day prophets who give counsel for our day. I am so grateful for temples and that I can be with my family forever. I know that Heavenly Father answers prayers and wants all his children to return to him. I have seen this gospel bless so many lives. We are all the children of God and by being obedient to his commandments and through the atonement of Jesus Christ we can live with Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday and have been called as a Primary teacher and I love to teach children about the scriptures and sing songs with them. The church is like family and we all teach and serve one another. Family Home Evening is every Monday night. I love spending time with my family playing games and teaching one another about the gospel. During college I get to spend time with my "student family". I also try to be as Christ-like as I can and follow what he has taught all of us to do! Now I am serving a mission! All these things just help my testimony to grow and help me remember to be the best I can!
