Hi I'm Kyall Wolford

I love music, playing volleyball, reading, and rain. I love being a mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Peru, Indiana to wonderful parents who were just getting to know the gospel. When I was 2 my parents decided to get sealed in the Chicago temple. When I turned 13 my dad got a new job and we came out to Utah. In high school I started to play volleyball. We won state my junior year, and due to a knee injury I was unable to play my senior year. I am the oldest of 6 kids and I love my family. I loving watching basketball games, especially when my Indiana Hoosiers are playing. I love playing my guitar, and I talk a lot. I attended one semester of college before I decided to go on a mission, and I couldn't be more excited.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know when I am going through a trail, or having a hard time the lord and the gospel is there to support and help me out. I see my family who doesn't have the gospel in their lives and I see how hard it is for them to get through the rough experience. I follow this gospel because I know it will bless me, and help me get through hard times with a smile upon my face. I know that the gospel is true, and that it has the power to make you happy even if you are in the worst condition or having the worst experience. I don't know who I would be today without the gospel in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others and being my best self. I love serving, wither it be mowing a yard, doing baptisms for the dead, or making cookies for my neighbors. I try and serve as much as I can because I know for a fact people are serving me. I try my hardest to be positive, and find the best in people and things. I am a primary teacher substitute which I absolutely love! I love teaching lessons to all the different age groups. I try to read my scriptures and say my prayers everyday because I know that will help me follow the lord in faith.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Kyall Wolford
All members of the church are not required to serve a mission. However boys who are worthy and capable of serving a mission are strongly suggested to go. A young man can serve a mission when they are 18 years of age as long as they are found worthy to go, and a young woman who is 19 years of age can also serve. Couples who are older and married are also able to serve missions. We don't require boys and girls to go on a mission, because there are sometimes circumstances they may cause them not being able to serve. Missionary work is important because it brings others to know the lord, and be a part of this amazing gospel. It brings families together, and blessings to those serving and who they are teaching.
