Hi I'm Kaydee.

I'm a singer, reader, writer, future science teacher and friend. I'm the 7th of 9 children. I'm a missionary. And I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm going into Physics and Chemistry teaching in High School. I know. I'm crazy. ;) I am the 7th of 9 siblings and love to sing, read, write(hopefully maybe even be published one day), and just have fun in general. Video games are sorta my vice at times (if I'm not reading in a corner somewhere), though I do like a good TV show, not gonna lie. I am a total Disney girl through and through and I am convinced I'm gonna live Happily Ever After. And best of all, I know that through the gospel I can have just that. Call me wacky, but it's gonna happen and I just can't wait. I got my mission call to Anahiem CA after all. What more of a sign do I need than that? ;) I'm a sister, aunt, daughter, best friend, student, reader, Doctor Who fan with a pretty bad obsession for reading and Manga. But, most important of all, I'm a Mormon. I am a deciple of Christ. I am God's daughter, and I will live that way.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the gospel, but I have stayed in the gospel because it's true. It helps me keep a life that I don't have to be ashamed of, and one without unnecessary trials, but that's just extra side effects. This gospel is amazing. I know when I am the most upset I turn to my faith in God, His gospel and preisthood, and His Son, Jesus Christ's, Atonement. My life has always been better because of it. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I know that The Book of Mormon is true. Because I know God restored His power and preisthood, the power given to worthy men to act in His name, onto the Earth today through His Prophet Joseph Smith, and I know that there is a Living Prophet , President Thomas S. Monson, on the earth today because of Joseph Smith did as God asked. I'm a Mormon because this is what God wants me to be, and it's what He wants for everyone else to be too.

How I live my faith

I do what God asks me to. Right now, that means giving away a year and a half of my life to serve Him in Anahiem CA, preaching His word to the Spanish people here. You live your faith by being your faith. I dress in a way that I don't have to worry about people only looking at me because I'm drawing attention to myself and making other people feel awkward because of it. I keep my language clean of swear words, and try to use the things I've been gifted with to lift others instead of tear them down. I read The Book of Mormon daily and try to apply those principles in my life. I try to treat others as I would like for them to treat me. This world is hard, but it is also so very good if you change where you look. It's not always easy, but it's so much better that way. I life my faith by trying to help others strengthen theirs. I live my faith by believing in God. Not only beleiving, but KNOWING He lives and loves me. By knowing I am His little girl. By knowing that one day I wanna see Him again, and knowing He wants to see me too so I need to live so I need to live in a way that He'll be proud of me whenever it's my time to go home. I live my faith by trying to become like Jesus Christ, and following the things God asks me to do when he asks, even if I know it's gonna be hard. Life is hard, but, we're strong enough to walk through the fire and when we get out we will only be more like what our Maker had designed when He decided to put us in.

Is it true that Jesus appeared in North America after his crucifixion and resurrection according to the Book of Mormon?

Yes, it is. He came to a people called the Nephites and taught and blessed them, giving them His law and guidance, and organized and ordained his twelve apostles just as he had in Jerusalem to lead His church after He left. He taught them and blessed thier children, healed thier sick, and taught them His law, along with so much more. You can read it for yourself in 3rd Nephi, starting in Chapter 11, and you can know it's true after if you really want to know and Pray about it yourself. God will answer you. Show more Show less

How do I become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church)?

Oh, well that's easy. You're on this website, aren't you? Go to 'request visit' up at the top and then put in your information and you're on your way. These young men or women will come and teach and guide you with exactly what you need to know and do. Honestly, it all comes down to, 'Are you willing to do what the Lord asks?' Are you willing to humble yourself, change to follow and live His commandments, stop doing what you know is wrong, and do as He asks? If the answer is yes, take the lessons from the missionaries. Read the Book of Mormon, pray and ask God about it and be willing to do what the Lord wants after. Be willing to be baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and after receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost. So, what are ya waiting for? Show more Show less

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

This Church began many many many years ago in the Bible when Christ established His church on the Earth. When He called his Apostles and set up His church. Unfortunately after Jesus Christ, and later His Apostles as well, were killed, the foundation and teachers of the chruch were lost and it eventually crumbled into non-existance just as a classroom would if the teacher left and asked the students to teach. It wasn't until nearly two thousand years later in 1820 that 'Mormonism' started, when a 14 year old boy named Joseph Smith decided to kneel down and pray to God to know which church was His. His prayer was answered by a vision where both God the Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him, explaning that none of the churches were Christ's and that God would work through Joseph Smith to restore His church on the earth once again. After years of being taught by messengers from God and being prepared, God did work through Joseph Smith and restored His church on the earth once again, restoring the authority to lead the church and giving us an added cannon of Scripture, The Book of Mormon, to help guide us in this life and be an evidence of this Restoration. You can know for yourself that this is true if you just read the book and do as Moroni asks in the Moroni chapter 10, verses 3-5. Do it. You won't regret it. Show more Show less
