Hi I'm Christopher Dunn

I'm from Tennessee. I'm a student. I'm a runner. I love history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I´m the proud son of two amazing parents. I love to run, sing, and am always up for an adventure. I love to listen to music, spend time with friends and serve others. Currently, I am attending Brigham Young University after recently returning from serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Brazil Belem and the California San Fernando Missions. While on my mission I learned many things, but the overwhelming lesson I learned is that God is our Heavenly Father, He loves us and knows the challenges and difficulties we face in life. Many of the people I met on my mission faced different challenges and trials, myself included, but I came to know that we all face trials for a reason and through them God still loves us and will help us get through and learn from our trials. All He asks is that we have faith in Him, trust Him and everything will turn out for the best in the end. I know that to be true.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I arrived at a point in my life where I wanted to know if the gospel was true for myself. So, I prayed to God to know if this is the true church of His son, Jesus Christ, here on the earth and I received an answer from the Holy Ghost that it is. I know the gospel is true. I know that Jesus is the Christ and that this is his church on the earth today. I know that he and our Heavenly Father love us and only want the best for us. I know that as we put our trust in them, they will bless us in our lives and help us overcome our challenges. I know that families are eternal. That is a big part of my testimony of the church because I had a sister pass away from cancer, but we learn in the church that the intent of God for families is that they are to exist forever - that the same happiness and joy we find in our families here on the earth will continue after this life as well. I know that my sister still lives and that I will see her again as I live the gospel and do what is right throughout my life. And as I do that I know I will receive the blessing of living with her and the rest of my family once again in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to do what is right everyday. I believe at times that we all think that we have to do something marvelous and great to make a difference in the world; however, in the end, when we choose do to do what is right and serve others on a daily basis we will find true lasting joy and happiness - not only in this life, but in the life to come.

What is faith?

Christopher Dunn
Faith is a hope in something you can't see but believe is true. Faith is a verb - when you have faith you act and seek to accomplish something. In respect to our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, as we have faith in them we will follow them. We may not always know the path ahead as we follow them, but faith will help guide us along that path and we will be blessed and find happiness in this life, during the easy and hard times of life, as we follow them with diligence and faith.
