Hi I'm Kendrek

I grew up in Enterprise Utah. I worked at Strawberry Bay marina in Heber City Utah. I love the outdoors and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I have always loved and lived for the outdoors. I love being in the mountains and to enjoy the beauty that God has blessed us with! It is a testimony to me that God lives. In high school I ran cross country and track. I love the challenge that long distance running gave me. To finish a race as hard as I could always gave me a sense of accomplishment. Running long distance has gave me many perspectives in life, such as enduring to the end in all things. I grew up in a big family. I'm the seventh of 13 children. Growing up as a middle child was awesome and I love all my siblings! They have always been great examples to me in my life. Some of my best memories as a kid was deer hunting in southern Utah with my father and brothers. My father has always taught me to be thankful for what God gives us. After every animal we harvested we offered a prayer in gratitude because we knew it would help our family. My mother has always taught me to give back to the Lord. She has been a great example to me in my life. We have been blessed in so many ways that we always try to give back to the lord. I am currently serving as a representative of the Savior in the Illinois Chicago West Mission. I feel so blessed to be able to bring souls to Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the one and only true church on the face of the earth because I have read and prayed about the most amazing and correct book on the face of the earth, that is the Book of Mormon! The spirit has testified to me over and over throughout my life that this record of true! I have had so many sacred and refining experiences throughout my life while reading this book. It has brought me closer to my Savior Jesus Christ more than anything else in this world! Through reading the Book of Mormon I have come to know that my Savior Jesus Christ lived, died and was resurrected. I have come to know that my Savior died for me personally so that I might one day return to Him and my Father perfected and glorified like He is. Through the Book of Mormon I have come to the knowledge that truly Joseph Smith was a Prophet of God. Truly he saw the Savior and our Father in Heaven, truly he was given a record which he translated by the gift and power of God which is known today as the Book of Mormon and truly he was the instrument in God's hands in restoring the fullness of the Gospel on the earth so that man may receive salvation. I know that through the restored gospel of Jesus Christ we may enter the one and only path to eternal life. As we surrender our will to God's we will receive a never ending flow of blessings from God.

How I live my faith

One of the greatest lessons that I have learned on this earth is the principle of accountability. I try to live my faith and might I add my life as the Savior would want me too. I strive daily to repent and to be obedient to God's commandments. I strive to be sensitive to the subtle promptings of the spirit. I strive to keep my thoughts focused on only those things that would invite the spirit into my life. I try very hard to let virtue garnish my thoughts so that I may one day stand before God with confidence. I strive so that I may not bring shame upon my family and loved ones. To put it simply, I just want to do all that I can so that I can return back to my Father in Heaven, His son Jesus Christ and to do so with my family.

What is faith?

Faith is kindled by hearing testimonies of those who have faith. As we act on the subtle promptings of the spirit when we hear those testimonies then is the time that we can build our faith. Obedience to God's commandments is the foundation of faith! Show more Show less
