Hi I'm Brandon

I was born in Utah and have lived in Colorado and Minnesota. I love to ballroom dance and cook. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I lived in Idaho since I was 10 but have lived in 3 other places before then. I attended my first seimester of BYU-Idaho this last fall and look forward to attending more college after I serve my mission. I received a Spanish speaking mission call to Long Beach, California and look forward to serving there. I love to ballroom dance, cook, play basketball and other sports. I also love to run and spend time outside. I am the second-oldest in my family. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother, and I love speanding time with them. In the future I hope to become some sort of doctor. I feel this is an occupation where I can serve others and enjoy doing it. In my past I have enjoyed being a Boy-Scout of America and even attended the 2010 National Scout Jamboree down in Virginia. I am an Eagle Scout. In the future I just hope to serve and grow in the gospel with my future family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the LDS church because of the testimony I gained throughout my life. I feel that I really gained this membership in my heart when I felt Joseph Smith was a prophet as I visited the Sacred Grove in Palmayra, NY.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading scriptures, praying, and simply following the teachings of the Church in my everyday life. This has definately blessed to prepare for my mission and to feel of a greater peace that comes from doing what is right.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Brandon
You know some questions come to us as we think of our life down here on earth. Like what even is the point? It seems that we are on a raft floating without any direction. Yet, I testify that there is a point in being here. The goal of being here is to become more like God. To become more like our Heavenly Father. We do this through receiving a body, knowledge, and through using our agency to choose right and wrong. I know sometimes it seems like we're in a room with no exit, but I promise you that there are other's in that room to help you find your way. A Heavenly Father has given us prophet's to lead us to where we need to go. Yet, more importantly he has given us His son to show us the way to where we can prepare to meet God. "This life is the time to prepare to meet God". I know that, and I know that through living the way we should that all will be well in the end and honestly I'm glad that I can be here to learn, grow, form relationships, and to form memories. I'm glad I have countless chances to make mistakes and become like my Heavenly Father. Only through heat and pressure can a rock become a precious gem. This life gives us "heat" and "pressure", but through them we can become like our Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
