Hi I'm Dennis

I'm the father of three girls. I make movies and plays. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in various cities, before eventually finding the woman I would marry in England. We relocated to Southern California, where we had our three daughters. I worked in media and believed it could be used for good. I started making family friendly movies and plays. It doesn't always work as a day job, but it feels right to use what talents I've been given for good.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be raised as a Mormon by goodly parents. I perhaps took my faith a little too much for granted until I went out on my own, where my faith was tested. Through prayer and living the principles to the best of my ability, I have come to believe in my heart that God lives, the Jesus Christ is Son of God, the Joseph Smith was divinely commissioned to restore the Gospel in its fulness for our times, and that we have a prophet on the earth today. How blessed we are, because in this day and age, I feel we need it now more than ever!

How I live my faith

I believe it is important to serve others, that much of my personal happiness comes less from focusing on me and more from focusing on others. The church seems to be a happiness factory, providing us countless opportunities to serve others, and not just on Sunday. Our contributions may be small, in the grand scheme of things, but I still believe that they bring a measure of happiness to our Father in Heaven, much like the stick figure, crayon drawings my daughters used to bring me and that I happily hung on our refrigerator. Service is the currency of love that we have to offer Him. Though I may stumble from time to time or have periods of living selfishly, His door is always open to try again. There is much love to be given and received by living my faith as best I can.
