Hi I'm Teemu

I was born in Finland in and I am currently serving in the Romania/Moldova mission.

About Me

I am serving a mission in the Romania/Moldova mission from March 2013 to 2015. I was born in northern Finland. Several months after my birth, our family moved to the United States after my dad got a job offer to work there. We met a lot of great and faithful members of the church during our time there, and I still cherish those memories from that time. After spending two years in the US we moved back to our hometown. Things close to my heart include music in a variety of forms; I've played guitar for several years, and also piano for quite a while. Our family members are all gifted musicians, and I've always been grateful for that. I've always loved nature. I know from my own experience that we can feel the strong influence of the Holy Ghost when we're surrounded by nature. I can communicate with my Heavenly Father when I'm alone, for example row boating at the lake, walking on running at the hills etc. Like almost everyone else, there's a ''tough guy'' inside of me makes me play sports like floorball, snowboarding, biking, running, gym etc. On the other hand, there's still a quiet and peaceful person inside of me who often retires to harmless activities like reading books and oil painting landscapes.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the gospel is true. I found out for myself. I know from my own experience that God actually communicates with us in our thoughts, feelings and actions. Christ is my example and the person I want to become more like. I've meditated upon his and his prophets' teachings for many times and each time I've prayerfully seeked answers to my questions, I've come to the conclusion that God really listens to us. Sincere prayers are answered by God. I've felt his influence personally, and that is something I can't deny. It's like a seed inside my heart; once it starts to grow, we don't want it to stop but we want to nurture it as well as we can. I know that it is the Holy Ghost telling me that the scriptures are true and that Lord loves us and wants us to find the greatest joy in our life by following him becoming more like him. The gospel has been the greatest blessing in my life and I know that it will become the greatest blessing to anyone who sincerely follow the teachings of the Savior.

How I live my faith

Living one's faith is such vast a concept that it can't really be explained through words. One must experience it themselves. That's the only way. To give a glimpse of an idea, I strive to strengthen my personal relationship with my Heavenly Father continuously. This I do with regular prayer, scripture study, and applying the things I learn to who I am, what do I do and how do I see other. By the words of the prophet Alma, if we give place to a seed that it may be planted into our heart and nurture it, it grow to be a great tree the fruit of which will be the most pure, white and delicious fruit to us. This fruit is God's love which testifies to us that he is there and he wants us to continuously progress and to become more like his son Jesus Christ.
