Hi I'm Sara McLaws

I adore lovely things, like good conversation and pretty nail polish. I am currently serving a mission in England London South.

About Me

I am a 19 year old college freshman attending school in Utah. I have a dog, named Delhi, who I love with all my heart. I enjoy good books, good movies, and good art, and I really love to dance.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for no one but myself. I was born into this religion, but that does not mean I was not converted. I have been converted just like anyone else who joins this church for the first time. I have prayed and studied to know if this church is true, and I know that the teachings of the gospel are correct. I have a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the most correct and pure book testifying of Christ, that we have. I found this by study and prayer. I know that if anyone is questioning life or experiencing trials, whatever they may be, they can turn to it for guidance and it will lead them home. I am currently preparing to serve a LDS mission in the England London South Mission, and will be serving for 18 months. I have chosen to make this sacrifice to serve because I know that this church is true, and it brings me such an immense happiness, that I cannot simply sit idly by, but rather it is necessary for me to take action and tell everyone I can of how they can obtain true happiness.

How I live my faith

I am a faithful and diligent member of my church because I want to be! I attend my weekly church meetings and interact with my fellow ward members, as well as try my hardest to serve and love them. I like to read the Book of Mormon daily, because I know it is true, and it makes me a happier and better person. I strive to live like Christ, because I want to be a good person, and live more righteously.

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Sara McLaws
Missionaries proselyte because they choose to. Missionary work is not requisite to being a member of the LDS church, it is simply a choice that members of the church make, because they believe that what they know is worth sharing. Missionarie are not there to force you into something, but rather to tell you about something that you might never have heard before, which is a message of Jesus Christ and God's plan of happiness for us. Just like when someone finds an amazing new song, or reads an especially enlightening or good book, they want to tell others to partake in the things that they have discovered are good, so those people can experience the excitement and happiness they have experienced. This is the root of missionary work. To share something that brings happiness to so many, to those who will listen and accept the promise of blessings and peace. - Find the missionaries in your area and ask them what they know to be true.
