Hi I'm Hannah

A reader, a writer, a hold-on-tight horse rider, a feminist, a nail-biter, a traveler, a missionary, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a bookstore loving, poetry writing, novel consuming English major at a teeny tiny liberal arts college. I happen to be the only Mormon at my whole school, which is a big change from growing up in Utah. Throughout high school and college, I've enjoyed being on the debate team and I hope to go to law school some day. I'm a feminist who also likes baking and I have a little outdoorsy streak, too. I especially love traveling and I'm so excited to be on a mission in Kiev Ukraine. I have a darling family, some best friends, and a dog.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised Mormon, but once I went to college the church really took on a new meaning in my life. Being the only Mormon put me in the position of having to both figure out what I really believed and live that testimony for myself. This experience strengthened my faith in ways I’d never anticipated. I have found enormous peace and joy in the church. I live with a deep belief that I’m happier and my life is easier when I follow my Heavenly Father’s template for my life. I know the Lord will not lead me astray. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me - not in a cliché, pamphlet-y, as-long-as-you-don’t-sin way, but in a way that is personal and soft and meaningful, that comes from knowing me, listening to me, and being part of in my life. I know He loves His children in a way that is unconditional, even when unconditional love seems like an incredibly illogical concept.

How I live my faith

I'm currently on a full-time mission in Kyiv, Ukraine, so right now, I am living my faith by dedicating these 18 months of my life to the Lord.
