Hi I'm Anita

I grew up in Lindon, Utah. I am a college student at Utah State University. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the fourth of five children. I love being with family and enjoy having two super cute nephews. I am a Junior at Utah State University. I am studying to be a Nurse. I have always been interested in the medical field and love the idea of having a job that is helping others in their own lives. I love the college life, living with my friends and hanging out all day and all night. I love to swim, to compete and to stay in shape. I swim on the club swim team at Utah State. I love being outside but I also enjoy the warmth of the inside on a snowy winter night. I play the violin and I enjoy listening to music at all times of the day.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I choose to be. I grew up in a family who are mormon. As a family we went to church every week. It is something I have known my whole life, but it is something I have chosen to continue in my life. My parents got a divorce a few years ago. This affected me and members of my family very strongly. It was a hard time in my life and for my family as well. Members of my family have chosen to not participate in church anymore for their own reasons. I had a choice. I could continue to participate in something I have known my whole life or simply walk away and start something else. I tried this for a little while but for me not having the Lord in my life brought me unhappiness. I felt lost and confused. I felt alone and angry. I was more angry with my family members and didn't know why. I started to read the Book of Mormon again and started focusing more on the Lord. I prayed for help and strength to be happy again. I wanted to have joy like my friends did. I found this answer to my prayer from repenting and puting my trust in the Lord. I found joy in continueing to go to church again and reading the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon has given me happiness again. It has given me strength to stand up for myself and be an example to others in my life. It has given me guidance in which direction to go. I have gained a love for the Book of Mormon and for Christ and his willingness to die for us so that we can repent and live with him again. I love this church and want to share the happiness it brings to me with everyone. I choose to follow Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in church activities and reaching out to others. I enjoy going to church every Sunday and visiting with everyone there, but also to focus on the Lord and leave my everyday life behind me. I enjoy the fun activities I get to help with and participate in. It is nice walking around campus and seeing people I know from my church. I live by being happy and thankful for all the many blessing I recieve each and every day. I live by sharing this happiness with everyone around me.
