Hi I'm McKay

I am short, just like this introduction. I love musical and comedic improvisation. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm McKay. I love playing with language to make life funny and fun-filled. Measuring a mere five feet, two inches, jokes about stature are my specialty. I love to read, write, sing, play the piano, and play board and card games with my extended family. I have attended a local university, looking into English and Communications, and worked at a family camp as a cook in the mountains. I enjoy spending time in the outdoors and enjoying the beauty of nature. And small as I may be, I'm convinced that little guys can do big things too!

Why I am a Mormon

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Since I first read the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, and prayed to God to know concerning its truthfulness, I have many times felt the Holy Spirit in my heart confirming the divine role of that book and the inspiration that brought about the doctrines it sets forth. I know that these teachings comprise the Restored Gospel; in other words, the Master Jesus Christ Himself taught these same principles during the course of His earthly ministry. Furthermore, I know that the sacred word of God is revealed to prophets today just as it was in those times and before. My knowledge of God's great love and wise purposes for all of us, mortal beings and His spiritual children, gives me strength and confidence to rely on the commandments and obey God's will for me. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is an organization instituted by the angels of heaven, and the truths taught by its leaders and members have the power to bring peace, joy, and love to all the human family. The Lord Jesus Christ gave His life to enable those great blessings for us, suffering all of our pains and sorrows, and the price for all of our wrongdoings. He is the sure foundation amid a world of shifting values; if we give our lives to Him, we will know of His goodness and glory. I know that to be true, for it has been told me by the Holy Ghost. I share that witness with you in the name of the Redeemer of the world, even Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I have had opportunities to serve the men in our area of my college by providing them with leadership in coordinating service, learning, and recreational activities. I help to organize a system of home teaching in that group, in which two young men visit the homes of other families and try their best to meet their various needs. I often accompany musical numbers or sing in them, playing the piano and occasionally the organ on the behalf of various classes, organizations, or the congregation as a whole. I love what I do and the people I am so priveleged to assist!
