Hi I'm Sade

I love the outdoors, I'm an English Teacher in China and I am a Mormon

About Me

I have grown up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I love my three siblings and my parents. I thoroughly enjoy sports, music, reading, traveling and LOVE anything outdoors! I have recently completed my service in the Texas Houston Mission. It is a great blessing that has taught me much about the Gospel, who I am, and how I can use the enabling and strengthening power of the Atonement. I'm currently teaching English in a Chinese Kindergarten. It's been an eye opener to me and my observations have motivated me to live more like the Savior more consistently even with out the name tag.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to be a Mormon because I'm striving to maintain a relationship with my Father in Heaven. Because I can not live this life without His guidance. I am a witness to the miracles and blessings the Lord offers unconditionally; through active faith, sincere repentance, remembering my covenants, worthily partaking of sacrament and participating in Temple Ordinances. I have come to learn for myself that my brother Jesus Christ is truly my Redeemer, that through his actions and my perseverance I am able to confidently live with hope for a brighter today, tomorrow, and forever! I can go to him on my feet or on my knees and he will support me in my righteous endeavors. I am a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father loves and cares about me. The Comforter has brought peace to my soul and joy to my heart! I've witnessed that this is Christ's Church and as such, contains doctrine and covenants that will enable my family and I to become worthy to live for eternity with our Father in Heaven.

How I live my faith

Currently, I'm visiting China and living my faith here is a lot different that it was as a full-time missionary. I can't proselyte or I could get sent home, or worse, imprisoned. So for the time being, I do my best to really be an example. By making an effort to be kind to others, slow to anger and judgements. Even with my day-to-day practice as a missionary to become more Christlike, it can be a challenge. Page by page, taking in the principles taught in the scriptures each day and remembering throughout the day helps me. I also didn't realize how much impact my CTR ring had until I lost it. Sounds silly, however, since I've replaced it, having that constant reminder is precious to me. Along with that, I like to make goals each week that will allow me to better prepare for the Sacrament each week. I feel extremely blessed to partake of the Sacrament in China, I make these goals and try to make small sacrifices that will allow me to show my gratitude to my Lord and Savior.
