Hi I'm Larissa Gruwell

I am a Junior at Brigham Young University. Currently, I am preparing to be a Missionary in Taiwan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying Business Management. I love learning. I also love music. I play flute, sing, and play a little piano. I am preparing to serve a full-time mission in Taiwan, speaking Mandarin Chinese.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It has brought me so much happiness throughout my life. Especially throughout my teenage years, the things I learned at church and in my home taught me how to live a wholesome, clean life. Because of that, I was able to avoid many of the mistakes that other teenagers tend to make. I have also been blessed with many close friends because of the church. This gospel teaches us to love one another and serve one another, so we have become like a huge family. In addition, being a member of this church has given me so much inner peace and comfort. I know where I came from, why I'm here on the Earth, and where I'll go after death. These and other answers have given me the needed peace to make it through the hard times in my life. I know that this is Christ's true church upon the Earth.

How I live my faith

I love finding ways to help people around me. I especially love the elderly in my community. I have been able to spend a lot of time with widows. Many of them have become my adopted grandmas. Whether it be looking through photo albums, working in the garden, enjoying a Sonic milkshake, or simply talking, I enjoy every second of the time I have with them.
