Hi I'm Morgan

I play the piano, I'm a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Morgan! I am a current college student working towards a Major in Media Music Studies. I enjoy so many things in my life but one of the things I enjoy the absolute most is playing the piano. I'm not much of a performer but I love to write my own music. I also enjoy teaching Tae Kwon Do to children. I became a black belt in TKD in 2011 and am so grateful I achieved that goal! I love to read and write fiction too. It's so much fun to create a story that's your very own and get to know people that, though they may not be real people, you feel as if they are. I especially love my time with my family at home. God blessed us with many different personalities in my family and sometimes we clash, but I could never imagine being happier with anyone else!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by my parents. But I believe that whether you've been born into the church or join the church later in life, everyone can have a moment where they become converted. Though I've always known the message and the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true, I believe my true conversion happened just in the Fall of 2012. In the month of October, my 12 year old brother died very suddenly. This was a heavy blow to my family. He was such a joy to us and we all missed him a lot. And the pain was almost too difficult to endure. But during his funeral service, I began to understand some of the beauty of the gospel, and the love of God for His children. Heavenly Father knew that when we were given our ability to choose for ourselves, we would be happy, but we would also experience a great deal of pain, whether from our own sins or from tragedy. But in His infinite and eternal love, He provided a way for us to not only be free of that pain, but also gave us someone who would always run to our aid, our Savior Jesus Christ. Now, when I look at any aspect of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I see yet another proclaimation of God's love for us all as His children. And when I began to see that, I knew with every fiber of my being that this Church was the true church of Jesus Christ. The joy I feel every day from being a member and having this truth is something I couldn't imagine my life without. God loves me and wants me to be happy. And that's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Though I haven't had many opportunities to serve within my faith, I've loved serving outside. I enjoy teaching others about what we believe and why it makes me so happy! I am so excited to be serving a mission so that I can teach every single moment for a year and a half of my life. I have worked a lot with the Young Women of the church, as they've grown and strived to achieve their own goals. I also love serving through my music. One of my favorite things to do is arrange hymns in my own way so that I can help invite the spirit. I've had callings as a piano accompanist several times and enjoyed every moment! The joy I feel when I sing or play praises to God is immeasurable!

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Morgan
I know that families can be forever. When my little brother died, the pain was something I've never experienced before. But the one light I found in that dark tunnel of sadness was the knowledge that we were a forever family. I am so grateful for my parents!Because they lived their lives in a way that allowed them to be worthy to enter one of God's holy temples, it was possible for my family to be sealed together, not only until death do us part, but for time and all eternity. Even though my brother is gone from us on earth, he is still my brother and we will still be a family when we all return to heaven. Show more Show less
