Hi I'm Joann Magleby

I grew up in northern California. I'm a wife and mother of two and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in northern California. I attended and graduated from BYU in Provo, Utah. I served a mission for 18 months in Cordoba, Argentina. I am a wife and mother of two. My son is serving a mission in Kentucky. I have taught Kindergarten for 13 years. I love swimming and biking. I have swam from Alcatraz three times. I also enjoy hiking.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were members of the church. I was baptized when I was eight years old. My true conversion took place during my teenage years. I wanted to know if what I was doing was right. I didn't want to do it just because my parents were members. I remember reading the book of Mormon and asking (by prayer) if what I was reading was true. A warmth filled my heart and I knew what I was reading was true words from prophets. I have had so many experiences where my answers to my prayers have been right in the book of Mormon. I know God lives and watches over each one of us. He loves us and wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

For the past 7 years I have worked with our young women's group. This past week my calling changed and I will now teach gospel doctrine during our Sunday school time. I am looking forward to diving into the scriptures and learning more about our Savior.
