Hi I'm Lauren

I grew up in central Virginia. I married my high school sweetheart. I love to laugh and be around people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now I'm working as an event planner - it's something I fell into after getting a degree in English and Gender Studies, but I enjoy it. I love all things Humanities - love to do things with my hands, read, write, watch movies, and be outside. I'm still figuring out what I want to be when I grow up but love being married and spending time with my husband and our families/friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because living the principles of the gospel have helped me feel closer to Jesus Christ and feel more peace and joy in my everyday life. As a member of the church, I get frequent opportunities for spiritual experiences that help me feel the Spirit and know that I'm loved. I also love that the church is very focused on building strong marriages and families - that's very important to me.

How I live my faith

I work with all the young women at church ages 12-18, but particularly with the 14-15 year-olds. We talk about Christ and take our spirituality seriously - while also baking, making crafts, singing, playing basketball/volleyball, doing service, etc.etc. It's super fun and I always feel loved, connected, and like I've learned something after spending time with my girls. I also 'visit teach', or check in on particular women in the ward every month (kind of like "my sister's keeper").
