Hi I'm Angela

I am a wife, aunt, and future mother. Born and raised in California. I love people! I am a mormon.

About Me

I am a college graduate who studied Political Science. I love history, traveling, shopping, sweets, and hanging out with friends and family. I love learning new things, most especially recipes that involve chocolate. I served as a missionary in the Patagonia of Argentina. My mother is from Buenos Aires, and I absolutely love everything Argentina! I love my husband and we love to play with our niece and nephews whenever we have the chance! We also love to go to the beach an boogie board (in the summer, of course).

Why I am a Mormon

I have a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. With so many religions in the world it is a bit confusing at times to find the truth. I know that when Christ was living, he established His church. When he died and the apostles were killed, the full truth of the gospel was taken away from the earth. To find out if the LDS church is Christ's church restored in its fulness, I had to read the Book of Mormon and pray. Heavenly Father answered me through feelings of peace to my heart as I read the Book of Mormon. When I prayed, I had a feeling of clarification, and I knew that this is Christ's church on the earth. And I am so grateful to be a part of it. God answers our prayers.

How I live my faith

When I was baptized, I made a promise to follow Jesus' example, to be a disciple of Christ. I have many faults and things I need to work on to be like him, but I am happy to say that I am a disciple of Jesus Christ. I love meeting people and making friends. Attending church every Sunday, I am blessed with the opportunity to teach and encourage the youth to make right choices and develop their talents and qualities such as faith and individual worth. I love to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with others and hope that I can bring happiness to others by being their friend, and letting them know that they are of worth in the eyes of God.

Why do Mormons baptize their new members?

Angela
The world teaches of various forms of baptism. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, we follow the same baptism that Christ received from John the Baptist. It was by immersion, meaning your body is completely submerged in water from head to toe, and is by one who has the authority, or permission from Heavenly Father to perform this sacred ordinance. This authority is the priesthood of God, which is given to man by the laying on of hands. This power was brought back to the earth with the Restoration of the Gospel. Not just any man can baptize. When one is baptized, they wash away their sins and begin a new life, following Christ. When we are baptized we become members of Christ's church. Show more Show less
