Hi I'm Liezl

I'm a mother of 3 awesome kids. I'm a fulltime ER nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time mom and a full time nurse. I spend my past time doing needle works like crochet, cross stitching. I love to cook from scratch for my family specially when they say it taste good then ask what's the name of it and I will say I don't know, it just made out of love. While driving I like to listen general conference talks, it inspires me to be a better person every single day. I'm passionate about the Universe , I love reading books about it. The more I learn and discover its wonders the more it strengthens my testimony that there is a God who created this magnificent creation. Most of all I like setting goals, I will work hard for it until its in my hand. I love my job as a nurse, meeting different kinds people well or sick provides me the opportunity to serve in my own simple way. I witness what they don't have in life specially good health and learn to appreciate mine, my job teaches me that in this life its not all about money, its about health-emotional, physical and spiritual health which really matters the most. I'm a mother of 3, an ER nurse and I'm a mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I am a convert. I received the gospel the time my family needed it the most. I will say, it was the perfect time. We just lost our father from a tragic death, so many questions left unanswered until 2 missionaries shared the Plan of Happiness, it gave us hope, Families can be together again, there's life after death. Most of all I know who I am. I am a daughter of God, who loves and cares for me. Without the church , without the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ my life will be meaningless, I will be deprived of the real purpose of life ,no hope for the future not even in Eternity. I know the church is true, that prophet Joseph Smith was an instrument for the restoration of HIs church in this latter days, that the Book of Mormon supports the Holy Bible and it contains the fullness of the gospel. Here I found the real happiness, the peace and hope no other things in this world could provide. I found joy in serving others and learned to sacrifice oneself in behalf of those you love.

How I live my faith

Sunday is a special day for me, its my time to recharge after having a stressful week. Listening to the talks, focusing to Heavenly Father and to His son Jesus Christ helps me prepare for the incoming week. In my work place I meet various types of people, different personalities, The way they treat and respond to my care depends how severe the situation is. Sometimes I received a compliment for a job well done, a hug or a blank and discriminated stares. I'm so thankful I have the gospel that pacifies and teaches me to humble down. I'm always reminded who I am, how should I react , how should I serve. I am a Primary teacher, I love these adorable kids I'm teaching, actually most of the time they're teaching me. I've learned through their example, they are easy to forgive, they are humble and teachable. As a mother and wife, above all ,my family is my priority.I have a very busy life schedule and I see to it as what we are taught to prioritized the best and the one that matters most. Everyday in my life I make sure what I'm working out are the things that in relation to my eternal progression because it is so easy to get overwhelmed doing all the temporal things this world demands to us.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Liezl
As a family our very main goal is to go back to our Heavenly home, My kids know this as a reminder if someone not doing the right thing and make poor choices we will say " don't brake the chain" which hold us together. We go to church every Sunday no matter what, we pray together us family, we read and discuss the scriptures every night, we do family home evening and family council, we eat meal together afterwards we try to memorize verses in the scriptures and the Articles of Faith . In the budget list the first thing you can see is Tithing. We pray for the opportunity to serve others. We teaches our kids modesty and do things in moderation. We follow the words of wisdom because we believe health is wealth. We do things as family, we find joy in spending time together, our family is our priority this is the only thing that matters most.
