Hi I'm Cali

I play the cello, sketch drawings, write stories I usually never finish... and yeah, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest loves in life are music and culture. I write songs, haphazardly compile medleys, sing, and am always looking for more instruments to experiment with. I'm always eager to learn about different cultures. I love seeing the connections people all around the world share, even with all the vastly different heritages and backgrounds. I get the greatest joy in making people laugh. I'd like to call myself a comedian, but in all honesty, I just like to make a fool of myself in order to bring a smile to peoples' faces.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have had enough experiences in my life to where I know that it is a huge contributor to peace and happiness in my life. In other words, I would be completely lost and possibly somewhat miserable without it. I have had many times, especially back in middle school, when I have doubted my own faith and "gone astray." During these times I always feel aimless and a little... off. I never really notice, though, until I return back to living by the Mormon Church's standards, and then I realize what I've been missing. I suppose I could summarize this all by simply saying that being a Mormon makes me happy. It's really about as simple as that. It gives me hope and guidance for my future, makes me feel prepared for anything that lies ahead, and fills me with inner peace, and all that jazz.

How I live my faith

I'm a member of the youth program of the Church. Although I don't have any particularly specific ordained calling, I do what I can to help my fellow youth (or anyone else, for that matter). I just try to keep everyone around me laughing and happy.
