Hi I'm Ryan Huntsman

I'm an insurance agent, outdoor enthusiast, sports fanatic, father, husband. I love life and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a married, 26 year old with a two-year old son with a new daughter who will be with us in a few months. I enjoy spending time with my family, and being in the outdoors. I enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, hiking, and all types of competitive sports. I am a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized at the age of 8. My religion guides the way I see life and influences the choices that I make. I am grateful to my Savior, Jesus Christ, who showed mankind the way to return to our Heavenly Father. I know that families can be together forever, if we follow the teachings of Christ and His appointed Modern-day prophets.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In fact, I have ancestors who were among the first members of the church in the early 1800's. However, there comes a time when every individual must make a decision to continue the lifestyle presented by the church or to go another route. Each member(and non-member alike) is encouraged to seek out the truth for him/herself through a study of the doctrine and by asking Heavenly Father in the name of Christ to know of the truthfulness of these things. The holy scriptures teach that if we God in faith, He will manifest the truth unto us by the Holy Ghost. By the Holy Ghost, we can know the truthfulness of all things. I have come to know by the power of the Holy Ghost that the truth lies in the restoration of Christ's church through the prophet, Joseph Smith. As I continue to follow its teachings, the Holy Ghost reconfirms the knowledge gained by feelings of peace, joy, and comfort. These are the fruits of the Spirit that tell me that I am on the path that Christ has paved for me to come back to my Heavenly Father after this life. The teachings are also very powerful tools in finding peace in the family unit. Because I know that families have the potential to live together forever, this is large contributing factor to my continued diligence to keep the commandments. The happiness I feel in my family is merely a fraction of the joy that can come in living with my family eternally in God's presence. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

My faith is simple. I study the scriptures, words of the living prophets and apostles, and other uplifting literature. Prayer is also an integral part of my everyday life. Whenever I strive to live by the teachings of the Bible and Book of Mormon, I feel different inside. My life runs smoother and I am happier when I base the teachings of Christ around my everyday decisions. There is an incredible peace and comfort that comes when I make correct decisions. That peace is a confirmation that Heavenly Father is proud of me and approves of the way that I'm living. To me, having faith in God means to take a step into the darkness of life's trials and hope that the Savior will be there to catch me. As I show faith in Him, He is always there to life me up.
