Hi I'm Jeff

I want to know that the choices I've made will not leave me wishing I could make them again.

About Me

California born and raised and proud of it. I grew up in the Bay Area and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. I have passion for everything I do and am always determined to succeed at whatever I put my mind to. You control your own happiness and life is yours for the taking. My life revolves around sports. I play tennis and volleyball as often as possible and I am a diehard San Francisco Giants fan. I am attending BYU in Provo, Utah and I love it more than I could ever begin to explain. I am majoring in Elementary Education in hopes of teaching elementary school when I graduate. Served in Indianapolis, Indiana as a missionary speaking Spanish!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but choosing to stay was a personal choice. Why I have remained a member has a lot to do with "How I Live My Faith." The church gives me such a positive view of life and my importance. The standards I live through my faith has kept me level-headed in this crazy world and has given me a perspective often not found in youth these days. I am a Mormon because I believe in a greater being over us all who loves us unconditionally and through the warm spirit I've gotten from reading Joseph Smith's testimony countless times. My testimony in the church grows more and more through personal spiritual promptings and from the wonderful testimonies, conversion stories, and experiences of those I interact with.

How I live my faith

My faith is a lifestyle. I live my faith by embracing the standards that it's taught me and trying to be an example to those around me. I believe that the expectations given to me from my faith are put there to help me prosper in a world that is struggling so mightily. I live my faith with extreme gratitude for the great outlook on life it has given me and the hope it has inspired.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Jeff
Mormon's believe in the concept that "Families are forever." When married in the church, your vows are not "Till Death Do Us Part," but rather, you are making an eternal vow to your partner that extends beyond this earthly life. The church holds the stand that you will be reunited with your family again in Heaven when you pass. This doctrine is extremely comforting in times of sorrow over the loss of a loved one. As Mormons, we know that the loss of someone on Earth, though tragic, is just God calling them up for a greater purpose in his Kingdom in Heaven. When someone leaves you here on Earth, it is not the end. "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven” (Matthew 16:19).
