Hi I'm Moriah

I am a graduate student. I love to cook. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a graduate student, and I think if I had my choice I would remain a student forever. I love to learn, whether it's about my field of study or about the world in general and the people in it. Recently I've been focusing on cooking. I love to cook, I love learning about new ingredients and what they taste like and how they can be prepared. Cooking is like an adventure! Since moving to a larger city I've been able to take advantage of a beautiful farmers market which serves as my weekly inspiration for what to prepare in the kitchen

Why I am a Mormon

I've grown up a Mormon, but I made the choice to stay a Mormon. One of the great things about the church is the fellowship that it brings, whenever I go to a new city I know that I instantly have a group of people waiting to welcome me and help me in whatever way they are able. The church brings such great blessings into my life. While I was applying to graduate school I was terrified. What if no one accepted me? It worked out fine and I had a number of offeres that I was able to choose between. Through prayer and fasting I was filled with a sense of peace and comfort and I knew which school was the correct choice for me.

How I live my faith

Being a member of the church means there's always something to do! There's great responsibility available for you to take if you choose to. Right now I have the ability to help my ward learn about how to use the church's resources to research their family history. It's also given me the push to start delving into my family history, which is great fun. I recently connected a line with someone else's work and was able to go back all the way to the 900s!
