Hi I'm Melissa Moore

I love driving with the windows down, going on crazy adventures, and loving even crazier people. I love discovering life.

About Me

My name is Melissa Moore and I love my family SO much!!! I have been so blessed to have two loving parents who have raised me in this gospel. I am the middle of 3 children and have an older Sister who is my go-to for advice, and a little brother who is the sweetest craziest thing in the world, and I really just love life. I love meeting new people, going to new places, and trying new things. I have been blessed with the drive to change others lives. There is nothing more I want in life than to love people with every ounce of my heart and to help them become who they can truly be. Right now I am serving a mission in Birmingham Alabama, and am beginning to fulfill my greatest desires. Each day I have the opportunity to share Jesus Christ's restored gospel with others, and get to witness the change that's wrought in their lives. It is the greatest calling in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true. There is absolute truth. Either the sun has come up or it has not. Either it is raining or it is not. There is only one truth. The Prophet Joseph Smith said, "I knew it, and I knew that God knew it, and I could not deny it..." (JSH 1:25) I feel the same. I have prayed and asked God if this is true, and I will never forget the answer I received. It is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to become more like the Savior every single day. Something that I love with my whole heart is how the Savior is always turning outward and thinking of others. I am trying each day to be a little kinder, to think a little nicer, and to lend an extra hand. I have found so much joy in forgetting myself. In the church, and now on my mission, so many opportunities present themselves each day, and there is no doubt in my mind that Heavenly Father's hand is in all things. Emily Dickinson said "Forever is composed of nows." I know that each and every moment is a step in our eternity. Every moment matters. I plan to make the most of right now.
