Hi I'm Kiersten

I am from Las Vegas. I am currently a student in College. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest child in my family of four. I am currently studying Health Science and hoping to persue a career in the health field. I love to see progression in others and so I hope to have a career where I can see this. I love to travel and have adventures. I also love learning, experiencing new situations, and understanding others lives. I travel lots with my family and that allows me to be able to experience so many different parts of the world. I am currently learning new things and developing new hobbies for myself and understanding what I am good at. It is so fun to me to learn new things and to understand how everything in my life is the way that it is.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because if makes me so happy. Because of the gospel of Jesus Christ I am able to know so many answers to so many questions. It brings joy to my life to know that there is more to my life than the life I am living now on earth. There is a plan for me, which enables me and pushes me to find out what that plan is and how I can achieve it. It is amazing to know that one day I can return to live with a Father that I have in Heaven who loves me so much. I know that he loves me because I can see it everyday. I am able to recognize his love as I look around me, he sent me to this earth, and he trusts me enough to let me come back into his presence. I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ suffered and died for me so that I might be able to go back into my Father's presence. I also believe that Christ was resurrected. He was raised from the dead and his body and his spirit were again reunited. He has commanded us to come and follow him and that is what I want to do. I will follow the example of the most perfect man who ever lived on the earth and try to be like him. This is why I am so happy and this is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by finding opportunities to serve. I have found that when I am serving others and not only doing something for myself then that is the time that I am the happiest. I also have learned that I really enjoy teaching. In the summer of 2012 I was able to travel across the United States and be a counselor for multiple week long summer camps which are based on the doctrine and standards of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints called Especially for Youth (EFY). I was able to have so many one on one conversations and valuable teaching opportunities with young members of the church who were looking for truth and sercurity in their lives. This summer filled with many different youth and so many different places taught me the importance of sharing what I know with others.
