Hi I'm Shae

I'm from Wisconsin. I am a missionary. I am a brother. I'm a runner. I love frisbee and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Shae and I am twenty years old. I am currently serving a mission in the Oregon Eugene Mission. Being a missionary is truly the greatest thing I've ever done. It has opened my eyes to the reality of the world and has let me know just a portion of the love that Christ and Heavenly Father have for me. I graduated from high school in 2012 where I ran cross country and long-distance in track and field. My passion is sports in general, I love to watch and play anything, especially ultimate frisbee I love playing ultimate frisbee, college football and basketball are awesome too. I played basketball for two years. I attended BYU for a semester and loved it. Music is a great part of my life, bands like the shins, two door cinema club, passion pit, arcade fire, edward sharpe and the magnetic zeroes just get me pumped. I love my family and am the youngest of seven children. Life is great.

Why I am a Mormon

It makes me happier than anything else this world can give. It provides a reason for why I live the way I do now, and gives me hope for the future. I have felt that it is true and I love the people in it and the doctrines that it teaches. My life would not be as fulfilling as it is today without the church. I know this church is true and the Book of Mormon is another true testament of Christ. I know Thomas S Monson is a true living prophet today. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet. And I know that Christ is my Savior and he loves me.

How I live my faith

I am serving a full-time mission and currently a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Becoming a missionary is to devote two years of your life to teach other people about the happiness that can come when they accept Christ as their Savior. As I live my life I hope to be as Christ-like as I can. As I help and serve others I hope I can influence them and bring them closer to our Savior. Seeing people change and become more like the person they aspire to become is one of the greatest blessings I have experienced. I live the commandments of God as closely as I can and I aspire to continue to become more like him throughout my life.
