Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a poor college student, I like to sing spice girls songs in my car, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been in college for a little while now. Just finished calculus, that was a beast but hopefully one day I can become an optometrist. I love they human eye and how it works, what it looks like, everything! It's a longer road schooling-wise, but I think I can do it. ;) I've been working hard to get all that schooling done, but it's going to have to wait just a little longer because I am preparing to go to Nicaragua on my mission. Honestly, I couldn't be more excited! I'm quirky, and awkward, but in a good way. That's all I can say about me really.

Why I am a Mormon

Honestly, it is hard to put into words why I am a Mormon, but I'll try my best. I love being a member of this church. It gives me happiness that I don't feel anywhere else. It is deeper than happiness though, it is pure joy. The joy of knowing that I have a Father in Heaven who loves me. Who will give me direction in my life and never leave me. I have had times in my life when I felt completely alone. Isolated from family and friends. But even in my darkest moments, my Savior, Jesus Christ, was there. He has felt every pain I have ever felt, exactly how I have felt it. He knows how to comfort me and He does. God lives! He speaks! He has lead me to where I am in my life. He has told me that going on an LDS mission is exactly what I need to do right now so that He can help me grow, and also use me as a tool in helping other's know of His love for them. Joseph Smith was a true prophet. He saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. They knew his name, and they know mine. President Thomas S. Monson is the prophet today, and he speaks with Them. President Monson leads this church exactly how Christ would, because he speaks with Christ. Lastly, I love the Book of Mormon. It is a book which was written by the first inhabitants of the Americas. Real people, and real stories. I learn from their examples and their faith. Jesus Christ is my Savior. He lives! He has atoned for every mistake I make, every shortcoming I have, and every pain I feel. All He askes is that I try my best, and be a little better of a saint today than I was yesterday. I testify that this is Christ's church, and if you're wondering if it is too, or don't know for yourself. Ask. He will answer you. You can speak directly with God through prayer, and He is waiting to hear from you. So ask. I write all of these things in the name of my Savior and best friend, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I'm not ashamed of who I am. I live my faith by showing the world that I love Jesus Christ and that I want to be just like him. I think it is so important just to be a friend. I think that's one of the main things that I have learned from studying Christ's life. He was a friend to all. Wherever I go, whether it be school, work, or church, I try to be like Christ. Someone who shows you that you are important and loved.
