Hi I'm Daniel Alfaro El Faros

Sonora México. Create is my goal. Moives Art Humor Food Music Martial Arts, My "three force" is God Family and myFriends

About Me

Born in Sonora México but spent my first 13 years of life in Mexico City. Since then I have lived in Sonora, which is a desert (really hot desert). Right now I'm serving as a full time missionary in the San José, Costa Rica Mission. Before leaving on my mission I was able to finish college. I graduated with an emphasis in industrial Engineering. I like sports, especially Martial Arts . I'm a 2nd Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do, a Corda Verde Amarelo in Capoeira (CDO) and love running and one of my goals is to keep being healthy for the rest of my life; spiritually and físically. I like technology, video games, watching and making videos and movies and many other wonderfull things sience has created...but I also love art (in almost all its forms), fine music, the friendship of books and animals, the simple things in life like a good talk with a friend, watering plants. I have 2 cats 3 turtles and a big yard to take care of.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church, there was alwas something that told me: this has to be right. Maybe the testimonies of conversion of my relatives, the answers that the gospel gave in times of trials and the hope that help my family stay together despite tragedy. Eventhough I knew...I really didn't understand. I had a testimony, but I was not converted. Thanks to the mission and the experiences that I have lived here I have come to understand things better to the point of saying as I look back: -Now I know why...- Every day my testimony of the church increases.

How I live my faith

After finishing college the dilema of what to do with my life came. I had a career, a job, other job offers, the posibility to continue a Master Degree and even the option to serve a mission (even though I was by then 24 years old). Many options and many paths to take; nevertheless my goal has always been to have an Eternal family and to reach "Real Happiness". As I pondered in the many options that I had, I asked myself which things were going to bless more my actual family and my "Future Family". I remember saying to my self: -well, no matter which path I choose I want to have God on my side-. So I decided to ask Him which thing would bless my family the most...he answered back. Now I'm helping other persons get the blessing that the gospel brought to my family and at the same time learning many things that will bless my present and future family. My goal in the mission: become a better brother, son, friend, church member...go back and don't go back to the same thins. My father said as I was preparing to serve a mission: "If you come back the same...you wasted 2 years of your life".
