Hi I'm Susan

I was born near the east coast, grew up in Utah and am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

Daughter of two loving parents, sister to two outrageously witty brothers, I spend my days reading. Currently a full-time worker, I hope to start school soon. Of course, living in Utah I've acquired a taste in learning/re-learning the piano. High school graduate and bilingual with two more languages that my mind seems to understand, I still prefer writing in English.

Why I am a Mormon

Many argue that those born into this faith have no true testimony and blindly go along with what they've known their entire lives. I was, as everyone else, asked many times if I truly wished to be baptized and even at the age of eight, I knew this gospel was true. I have gained through unfortunate experience, a testimony of the atonement. I know I am not perfect but God knows my heart and can see what others cannot. I know that so long as I am forgiving and patient with others, God will be forgiving and patient with me.

How I live my faith

I'm currently a teacher to the young girls, ages 8-11, in our ward. It's not easy when they prefer talking about current boy-bands and musical movies but, as any teacher would say, these girls taught me more than I could teach them. I also served as secretary to the Young Women's president. Although my title called for organizing and planning, it actually felt that I was called to be part of the girl's lives. I was called to teach them through example.
