Hi I'm Alexis Pearson

I love to eat cereal! I love to be outdoors. I love my family. I love sports. I'm a proud missionary in the South.

About Me

I'm a college student at BYU-I. I am currently planning on entering the Paramedicine program here and eventually pursuing a higher degree. Right now, I'm serving a mission in the Louisiana Baton Rouge mission and I'm absolutely LOVING it. I absolutely love sports! I grew up playing them and watching them. I love basketball, volleyball, and track and I really enjoy football and baseball as well, only I watch them. I also absolutely love music! I grew up playing the violin and singing and now I've learned the ukulele. I'm trying to teach myself the guitar and piano as well. I was born and raised in a small town of about 900 people. I am the oldest of 6 kids, and my family is my everything!

Why I am a Mormon

First off, I'm a Mormon because I was born into it. Both my parents are members and were raised in the church. However, through time, it became that I am a Mormon because I love what the gospel does for me in my life and that I know it's true. I have a strong testimony of this gospel, and I am so blessed to have it in my life! Being apart of the LDS church has gotten me through some extremely rough, challenging times, and I have found comfort, guidance, and love through this gospel. It is a big part in making who I am today.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the daily choices I make. I choose to read my scriptures and to pray daily. I choose to attend church every week and make an effort to make it to all of my meetings. I choose to allow my Savior's atonement help me in my daily life. I choose to do my best to live God's commandments and live in such a way that He would be pleased. I personally believe the way you choose to lead your life is a big way of showing God your faith and your love for Him.

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Alexis Pearson
We need a Savior to return back to our Father in Heaven. We are taught in the Bible that no unclean thing can enter God's Kingdom. The Savior provided us with the Atonement, a way to repent of those sins and transgressions that prevent us from entering His Kingdom. The process of repentance is ongoing and we need to be repenting and changing constantly. I know that repentance helps make us better people and that it can give us peace. We can rid ourselves of those sins and bad things we have done in the past, and I know this from personal experience. Show more Show less
