Hi I'm Amaris Medina

I'm from sunny California. I love competing in all sports and I love life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello! I am currently 20 years old and attending college in Idaho. I'm studying Exercise physiology but minoring in Art. I was born and raise in the same house my entire life. I come from a happy family of six people. My mom and dad are at the head of the household and I am the middle child, having two older brothers and one younger sister. I love my family. I am fascinated with life and enjoy every possible moment. I love observing the detail of all of God's beautiful creations. One of my favorite places to be is outside, observing the majesty of the earth. I enjoy hiking, and camping. I love the beach and could spend the entire day squeezing my toes into the sand.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints ever since I was born. My Mom and Dad were baptized during their late teens. I am grateful for their faithfulness and desire to raise a family under the direction of correct principles, taught in Gospel of Christ. It was these principles that helped me understand who I am, where I came from, and what my purpose in life really is. With this understanding I declare my personal testimony. I know that God is my Eternal Father and that he is the ultimate creator of the universe. I have felt his love for me as his precious daughter. I testify that he loves each and everyone of his children and knows us all by name. He understands our trials, our weaknesses, our fears, and all other shortcomings. But regardless of our imperfections, God loves us so much, that he devised the plan of salvation, in which, he would send his perfect son, Jesus Christ, to atone for the sins of mankind. It is through this plan, that all of God's children have the opportunity to prove themselves worthy and return to live with God forever. I testify that Jesus Christ walked on the earth and taught all truth. I have an undeniable faith in life and ministry of Christ. He paid the ultimate sacrifice. He suffered and experienced all pain, all heartache, and all the sins of the world. He is my Savior and my ultimate example of perfection. I am a Mormon because I have knowledge of my eternal purpose and I cannot deny it.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith everyday! I believe that everyday should be progressive. We can use each day to build up an unshaken desire to become more like our Savior, Jesus Christ. I desire this pattern for my life and therefore do my best to maintain a daily routine of prayer, and scripture study. I live my faith through my activeness in the Church. Attending church with a purpose in my heart has helped me maintain my faithfulness. I love to feed off of the words of the other church members, as they testify of God and Jesus Christ. I love to learn about the teachings of Christ because His words give me a sense of hope. I can feel His magnificent love for me through his words, and it is this feeling, that causes me to continue living faithfully. Currently, I am preparing myself to serve God, for a period of 18 months, in South America. During my service I will testify of the existence of God and his son Jesus Christ. I will share the message of the restored Gospel of Jesus, and invite all to come unto Christ, and feel of his infinite love. God has given me every bit of happiness during my life. As a result, I want to express my gratitude to God, by doing his work. It is my desire for everyone to experience the immeasurable happiness that comes through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
