Hi I'm Tchae

I am 18 years old. I love sports and the outdoors and I am a Mormon!

About Me

I am 18 and the oldest of 6 children. I am an Eagle Scout. I really enjoy the outdoors. I love to fish, backpack, hunt, and just be in the mountains. I also love basketball, ultimate frisbee, ping pong, and snowboarding. Each year we try to go on a backpacking trip in the rocky mountains. I always have a wonderful time fishing, camping and hiking on those trips with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know with all my heart that this church is true, I know that God is our loving heavenly father and that Joseph Smith really did restore the true church of christ to its fullest. I know that without the gospel in my life I would be lost. It brings so many answers to questions that I have and that knowledge helps me to move forward and progress. The gaining of my testimony has come through prayer. I prayed sincerely to god, to know if this church was true. While I was praying a peaceful, calming feeling came over me and I knew at that point, without a doubt, that this church was true and that I needed to continue down on the path that I was on. As I have attended church, said my daily prayers and done my daily scripture study, my testimony has grown leaps and bounds compared to what it was at first. I continue in this gospel because I know its true and that if I were to stray from it so much would be lost. I know that christ and god want me to continue on in faith, because really that is all we can have; faith.

How I live my faith

Every sunday and wednesday I enjoy going to our church building. On sundays I get to enjoy talks and lessons given to me and everyone else present; it really helps me to grow spiritually. Also every sunday I have the opportunity to take the sacrament to an elderly lady in our ward that cannot make it to church on sundays because of her health. I have really come to enjoy it. It gives me the chance to see how much the sacrament means to her and has helped me to more fully appreciate its importance. On wednesdays I go to church for our youth group activities. Those activities are always a great way to spend my time, as I get to associate more fully with those my age that have the same beliefs and values as I do. I also have a calling as a hometeacher. My hometeaching companion and I, have the opportunity to go out, once a month, and check up with and spend time with the families that we have been assigned to. It has been a calling that I have come to really enjoy. As I have talked with, taught, and come to know these families, I have begun to love them. This is preparing me to serve a full time mission for the Lord.
