Hi I'm Brittany Vosika

I live in the beautiful state of Oregon with my husband, I am a soon to be mom, I am a nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I are both working and college students. We are expecting our first child in September and we are looking forward to all that comes with a growing family. I am currently a home health nurse and I love my job. I am taking online classes at Brigham Young University-Idaho for Health Care Administration. My husband and I enjoy playing volleyball in a church league. Most people though come to me when they need help with wedding decor, baby showers, or anything that may need a creative mind.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints at the age of 18. I had a loving, great-grandmother who took me to the Mormon church as a child. Her amazing love for the Savior and her kindness to all was the seed that was planted in me at a young age. Through out my youth and teen years I questioned a lot, my purpose in this life, whether God loved me, and what happens after this life. I attended many denominations over the years, I enjoyed exploring other faiths but nothing ever felt right. Something was always missing. At 16 I started attending my local LDS ward and taking discussions with the missionaries. The spirit spoke to me, when you know the truth it is hard to deny it as anything but. My parents disagreed and felt that I was too young to make such an important decision. Hoping that as years past I would forget all about the feelings I felt at the Mormon church my parents made it clear that they were not happy if I chose the church over what they had taught me. Growing up in a very liberal, free thinking, almost hippy style home any structure in life was always frowned upon in my home. At 18 I knew the truth as clear as the first day I felt the spirit. Two weeks before leaving for college I was baptized on September 11...Almost 8 years later I have never regreted any of it. I am Mormon because I want to live my life in accordance with my Savior's teachings. I want to become the best person I can be so that I may return to live with my Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I was married to my husband in the Portland, Oregon Temple, it was such an amazing honor for us to share our faith in the best way we could, our marriage. I live my faith every day 24/7, at least I try to. I surround myself in things that will build up my faith. Things like attending church meetings, visiting other women in the ward to share special messages or to just socialize. Currently I don't hold a special calling in our ward, but I am always a member missionary and try to be the best example of a Disciple of Christ.
