Hi I'm Spencer

I am the oldest of 6 children. I am an Eagle Scout. I am preparing to serve a mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 18 years old and the oldest of 6 children. I am a high school graduate and an Eagle Scout. I enjoy reading fantasy novels, mysteries and comic books, playing electronic games, watching movies, and riding roller coasters for the thrill. My long term goal is to become a Physical Therapist. But right now I am working and saving my money to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon faith. I have always known it was true, but I wanted that confirmation. I prayed and asked Heavenly Father if the Church was true and the spirit testified to me that the church was true. I know that Jesus Christ had atoned for all our sins so we may be perfect and live with him again if we follow Christ's example and endure to the end. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he restored the true church on the earth today. He translated the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of Jesus Christ and goes hand-in-hand with the Bible. I know President Thomas S. Monson is the Prophet today and he is called of God. I know that the priesthood is the power from Heaven and is the authority to act in Christ's name. I know the commandments are not meant to hurt us or keep us from having fun, but rather they are there to protect us from harm. I am grateful for living my faith because it has helped me become a better person and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I made a butterfly garden at the local library where I live for my Eagle Scout project. I teach a class on Sundays at church. I assist the Bishop by home teaching several families principles of the gospel every month in their homes. I strive to be a good example for my siblings. I try and live the gospel principles daily. My job wanted me to work some Sunday mornings but I made a deal with them that I would work some Sunday afternoons so I could attend my church meetings on Sunday mornings. They respected me and I am able to attend my church meetings every Sunday.
