Hi I'm Emily

I graduate from high school in May of 2013. I plan on teaching elementary school, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in the great state of Utah. I have the greatest family I could ask for with 5 sisters, 1 brother, and 2 loving parents. You can often find me watching movies, hiking, eating, thinking about running, stargazing, and dancing to music. I am currently preparing to serve a mission in Berlin, Germany, and to say that I am excited to go would be an understatement. When I get back form my mission, I look forward to going to school, and studying Elementary Education.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (more commonly referred to as the Mormons), and was baptized a member when I was 8 years old. I have read the Book of Mormon many times, and I have prayed and asked if it is true. I have personally received an answer, and I know that this book is true. I know it. I love the Book of Mormon dearly, and I have received many answers to questions and prayers by studying this book. Praying about the Book of Mormon was just the foundation of my growing testimony of the church. Like the Book of Mormon, I have prayed, and know that this church is true. I know I have a loving Heavenly Father, and that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins. I have a testimony that not only did He atone for my sins, but that He lives! This knowledge means the world to me, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

How I live my faith

I currently teach Sunbeams (ages 3-4) with 9 of the sweetest kids you will ever meet! I am preparing to serve an 18 month mission in Berlin Germany-just preparing for this has brought me closer to Heavenly Father, and our Savior, Jesus Christ and I look forward to serving and becoming even closer through scripture study, prayer and teaching others of His gospel.
