Hi I'm Connie

I'm a small town Idaho girl from a big family, a wife, mother of 5, and grandmother of 13 (so far). I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up on a small family farm with eight siblings where I learned many valuable life lessons. For many years my greatest interest and joy came from raising our five wonderful children. Together we have enjoyed many activities, trips together and of course, a few struggles. I have since graduated to the title of "Grandma", which has brought me unspeakable joy. Now that I am an "empty nester" I love to travel with my husband to visit our children and grandchildren that live in other states along with exploring and enjoying God's many beautiful creations. My greatest joy at this time in my life is being a part of our children's family activities and events. My greatest challenge is learning to master the computer and other electronic devices.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in a home where my parents were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized when I was eight years old. However, I have studied and learned the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I have prayed to know for myself if these things are true. I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father that knows me personally. He knows my weakness and my strengths, my hopes and my heartaches, and wants to help me through this mortal experience that I might return to be with Him again. I know I can pray to Him anytime and anywhere, and He will hear and answer my prayers of faith. The gospel teachings and programs have given me so much direction in my life, and have helped me find peace in a very troubled world. I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and I am so grateful for His infinite gift of the atonement. I feel blessed to live in a time when His gospel has been restored again to the earth, for living prophets and for temples and the sacred promises we make there with God. Through Gospel blessings, I know our family can be together forever, and that means the world to me! I see small miracles happening around me everyday that testify of our Heavenly Father's love and concern for all of us and each day I recognize His hand in my life.

How I live my faith

Each day I try to be a good mom, friend, and neighbor. I try to live my beliefs in my day to day actions, striving to make good choices and trying to serve and help others. Each morning my husband and I try to kneel together for a prayer and take a few minutes to read scriptures or other messages from our church leaders. This helps us to set our priorities and focus for the day ahead. I have enjoyed and grown in many ways as I have accepted different Church callings to work with children, youth and now in teaching in the women organization. I have always gained more than I have given. My husband and I currently serve in one of our temples. It is such a beautiful and peaceful place where we can go to learn, ponder, pray and feel the great love of our Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ. This has been a special blessing in our lives and has brought us so much peace and joy. Each day I know the Lord is watching over me and kindly directing my paths. I know I have a purpose in being here, that I am a daughter of God and that God will direct me as I earnestly seek Him.
