Hi I'm Tanner Broadbent

I grew up in Utah for most of my life, served a mission in Santiago Chile and fractured my femur, life is great! and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hello! I live in a family of 6 in place surrounded by temples and mountains. Growing up I have always loved the mountains and I enjoy hiking and snow skiing. I don't consider myself an amazing singer by any means, but I do enjoy singing when I can and listening to classical music..but mostly Alternative or Latino. I recently returned home from a mission in Chile Santiago Este. It truly was a blast, and you learn so much being so close to our Savior and his mission. In my last month of the mission, I slipped on tile in our house and fractured the neck of the pelvis on impact. Then and there I knew my mission was over. It was very hard emotionally and physically, I was at a high point in my mission and the next day a lady was going to get baptized. The Plan of Salvation really kicked in, and I knew that I am a child of God, and he has a plan for me. I am a strong believer that EVERYTHING happens for a reason. I consider myself to be an optimistic person, happy, and love a good laugh. What keeps me moving along is to always keep my head up. Levántate y mire hacía arriba no más! My plans for the future are still not clear, but I am thinking of going into Physician's Assistant or Healthcare Administration.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to continue to follow this gospel because of the safety and peace that radiates from it. I feel more happy when I choose to do what is right and the gospel helps guide me to that longing happiness. It's nice to know that there is a prophet who leads currently and helpful to know there is structure in this religion. I believe the door to happiness is right in front of our nose, it just takes that effort to open the door.. I know that the church has been restored through a prophet well-known; Joseph Smith. He is a prophet, and we have a prophet today. God answers prayers and pleads. He loves us, and will never forget us nor ignore our presence. I know that what the missionaries say is true. They speak with power, and its up to feel the peace they bring. I'm not just a Mormon, I am a child of God here on earth for a divine purpose. I know that if we do what God wants us to do, we will be blessed more than our mortal minds can imagine. Don't take my word for it, go give it a try. Open the door.

How I live my faith

In the past I had a calling specified to befriend those with "special" needs. In this calling I would attend what is called Special Needs Mutual which is a gathering where we meet and socialize and learn together. This has been more than a blessing to me because I feel you learn more about our Savior and the true meaning of love from the "special" needs individuals. As recently stated above I served a full time mission in Chile Santiago. There I served my Lord and fellow brothers and sisters. I like to help people free themselves from darkness, and I do that by showing my love to them, being an example, and sharing the simple truths of the gospel.
